Introduction

Common Name: Inward bent dendrobium, angel fish orchid

Distribution & Occurrence:

Eastern Himalayas to Thailand

The Plant

This is a medium sized hot to warm growing epiphyte found at 300 to 1300 meters. Each cane can be upto 60 cms in length. Inflorescence is raceme arising from leaf less canes.

Each inflorescence carries 4-5 fragrant grapes like cluster and long lasting flowers


Cultural Requirements and Nutrition

Grow in light shade and prefers to be mounted or grown in a fast draining media. Water and fertilize in summer season and stop water and fertilizing in winter for a period of 3-4 weeks

Hybrids

Extensively used as pollen as well as seed parent.
