The
Plant
Warm to hot growing medium sized vandaceous
epiphyte with stout stem and fleshy long root. Leaves are fan shaped, very
thick, leathery with prominent pale green longitudinal stripes in the leaves
Blooms in fall and winter with long, dense
& many-flowered inflorescence.
Flowers once year during early or late fall
and flower lasts 2 weeks and are very fragrant. Flowers open over 2-3 days
Colors are quite variable for the species
and have been interbred to create many more color variations
Cultural
Requirements and Nutrition
Grow in bright indirect light. Though it is
vandaceous it can be grown in Phalaenopsis light levels. resents repotting and hence repot only during new root
growth.
